The RSX
Being a good car geek, you have to keep in mind
at all times your potential car purchases for a given
situation.
For example, if I won a
sizable but not extreme amount of money, which car would I buy? (Ferrari 360
probably, for the sheer practicality of it as the best car in the world. A used
V8 Esprit too, because of its beauty.) How about if I were in a well paid but
not filthy rich job and needed a year round car in minnesota? (An Audi S4) And
how about a practical just-out-of-college car? This is of course the most
difficult of all.
WRX? Mini? GTI?
Evo VII? Tiburon? Celica? Used TT?
I think I've now landed on the Acura
RSX. Cheaper than a properly optioned Hyundai tiburon, it's everyone's favorite
car in the segment. It's a honda, plus it'd be serviced by the nice folks at
white bear. And it'd beat dad to 60mph.
Of course, it's not very attractive
... but neither am I. And nothing in the segment is as beautiful as the SVX.
None of them are penned by Italians. (Though one could argue about the tiburon,
but that's more like stolen from italians, with a healthy dose of
crazy-korean-anime added in) Don't anybody get worried though... I still love
the SVX.
Just some thoughts. You
always have to have this stuff in mind. At least, real car geeks
do.
