Relative Deprivation
So, tonight in polisci we were discussing
Relative VS absolute deprivation and such. The Prof was just using great
examples. "So, when I walk in to Best Buy, I'm relatively deprived, because, I
may have a nice 27" tv at home, but I don't have the 42" plasma hidef TV... "
(and so on) Anyways, it was very
good.
Had a long talk with AD tonight,
as we are both continuing to feel like while we're very very good at helping
each other with life, and working together towards mutual goals and all that
stuff, we're not so good at the "just enjoy the relationship" part of things...
so we're going to stick with what we're good at. Best friend, business partner,
all that. Just not girlfriend/boyfriend. I think that leaves both of us
happier and less stressed.
The
apartment next to mine got broken into today (or yesterday) ... that's rather
scary. The apartment manager has also been replaced with some new guy, which is
nice since the old person was a real bitch. New guy may be a jerk too, but at
least he answered the phone when I called a few days
ago.
Starting to get ramped up for the
scheduling suite for the studio. I did the database design last night, along
with the flowcharting for the program. Hopefully I'll get the tables built
tomorrow, and maybe start with the file structure.
